Problems with Cocaine
Cocaine is
the public's number one enemy. Over the years, joint efforts of
the government and anti-drug organizations had been battling the
pest in society, but to no avail. In spite all the information
disseminated by them and the aid that it gives its citizens,
drug use and drug addicts are still rampant today. In reality,
there are many problems with cocaine that the government is
trying to solve. In most studies conducted, it was found out
that children suffer the most when their parents use drugs.
There's a number of violence being done by parents under the
influence of drugs. Most crimes are also committed by these
addicts. Some children, who are born from parents who use drugs,
have brain defects. These are only few Problems with Cocaine
that the people are concerned with right now.
In America,
there was a crack epidemic in the eighties when crack cocaine
became accessible and popular throughout the country. Since
crack can now be smoked and not injected, its audience grew
faster. Ever since the 1980's crack epidemic, America has
focused its attention to problems with cocaine.
One of the
effects of cocaine is delusion. Paranoia is also another
negative effect of the said drug. Most of the time, it's the
cocaine that controls the person, rather than the person
controlling the drugs. When delusions occur, drug addicts steal
money, hurt their loved ones, and even kill somebody who would
go in their way. Drug addicts will stop at nothing just to get
drugs. The increasing crime rates pose a lot of problems with
cocaine since most criminals are also addicted to drugs. Before,
cocaine, which is derived from coco leaves, is used as medicines
for sore throat problems. The problems with cocaine began when
the doctors discovered its addictive factor. Thus, they have
then devoted their attention in putting an end to it.
